Every fall, Cera calls on everyone to bring in any walnuts they can spare to our farm store De Wikke, among others. Our volunteers from the labor care project in Herent then carefully crack the collected and dried nuts. These cracked nuts are taken to the oil press, where they are processed into delicious walnut oil. The walnut oil is for sale in our farm store at Park Abbey in Heverlee. By participating in this initiative, we create meaningful work for our volunteers, promote connection in our community and generate additional income. Thus, everyone contributes to a more sustainable and cohesive society.
